Mindy Totten

I love reading and learning new things, so I guess it is natural that I majored in English in college.

After a stint teaching software programs to adults, I went back to school to get my masters degree in teaching writing and literature, and I began to teach high school English and Humanities.

My husband, Ranald, and I share a voracious curiosity about the world and its cultures, so in 1993, we decided to sell everything we owned and move overseas. Through the years, we lived and worked in Berlin, Istanbul, and Singapore, while traveling to and exploring as many exotic locales as we could.

I taught Humanities in international schools until I became quite ill with a variety of conditions that did not respond well to mainstream medicine. My illness led me on the path for alternatives, including CranioSacral Therapy, which helped me to heal and become whole once again.

Since 2003 it has been my privilege and joy to use CranioSacral Therapy to help others find relief from their symptoms and to find themselves again in the process. I am honored and humbled that my work has been featured in various publications including The New York Times Magazine.

I love living in coastal North Carolina with my husband, Ranald, and our dog, George, a Redbone Coonhound and proud graduate of the Pawsitive Partners Prison Program.
